A Very Delicious Post

For New Years my Mommy made collards(for dollars), black eye peas(for pennies), yellow rice(for luck), jalapeno cheddar corn beard(for yummy-ness), & R.C. Cola Ham(for health)! My Mommy & I would like to post some pictures. & Mommy is going to give you a quick run down on how to make R.C. Cola Ham! But I'll tell you to begin with that you don't have to use R.C. Cola. When Mommy's grandmother started making the ham using it, it was the cheapest cola available & it tasted great. Now R.C. Cola is just as expensive(sometimes more) as Coca-Cola!
This is me waiting for some food.

You are going to need: A ham, Maraschino Cherries, Pineapple slices, Whole cloves, Brown Sugar, & 2 liters of your favorite cola.

Start off with a ham, any size will do, Mommy doesn't like spiral hams, she likes to cut her ham off in big chucks. Pour a little cola on the ham, just to get it wet. Drizzle the brown sugar all over the ham. Grab your cherries & whole cloves, use the cloves to pin the cherries to the ham.
Put as many as you like. Place your pineapple slices the same way. You see that tiny pan my Mommy put the ham in? DON'T DO THAT! She didn't have a medium pan & she was okay with draining the pan every 30 minutes. What she should have done was put it in the BIG pan we had & let those juices stay in the pan. Oh well, now she knows better. Also Mommy didn't have pineapple slices, she had crushed pineapple. Here is a close up.(before cooking) Now your ham should have baking instructions, but we'll tell you how we baked this one just in case it doesn't! 325 degrees, 18 minutes per pound(we had 6 pound ham). Just before you put the aluminum foil on top pour some more cola on that ham, be gentle, you don't want the cherries, pineapples, & brown sugar to wash away! Mommy then puts a little more brown sugar on the ham. Put it in the oven, every 45Min's, pour a little more cola on the ham. About ten minutes before your ham is due to be done, take the foil off & let it brown. What did you say ham? Your all finished? Your going to taste delish?! Oh well thank dog!
